NYC Wedding Photographer

Photojournalism, with an eye for the moments worth directing.

I’m a wedding photographer based in New York City, covering the New York Tri-State area. That’s how I like to summarize my approach — capturing your day as it truly unfolds, and stepping in with gentle direction for the portraits you’ll want to frame.

Where It Started

My girls.

Here are a few pictures of my girls, just because I think they’re cute. They’re a little older now, but they’re the reason I started photography — to document and preserve all the moments of their lives growing up.

The Approach

Two modes, one seamless day.

i.

Watching & anticipating

I spend a wedding day split between watching and anticipating, sprinkled in with a bit of directing — catching the look on your dad’s face right as he sees you for the first time in your dress, or the joke between bridesmaids that only they’ll ever really get.

Those moments can’t be staged, so I don’t try to. I just make sure I’m close enough to catch them and quiet enough that you forget I’m there.

ii.

Portraits with intention

I don’t believe every great photo happens by accident. Some moments in every wedding deserve a little direction — that’s where the other half of what I do comes in: portraits built with intention, dramatic light and a real sense of composition.

Not stiff, not overly posed — just elevated. The kind of image you’ll want to print large and frame.

After 10 years and over 240 weddings, I’ve learned to move between those two modes without either one feeling like an interruption.

Experience lets me quickly read a room and know when to take control of the timeline — and when to step back completely and capture the moment as it happens.
