ABOUT ME
Photojournalism, with an eye for the moments worth directing.
I'm Danny — a wedding photographer based in New York City covering the New York Tri-State area. My approach lives in two places at once: I spend most of a wedding day watching, not directing — catching the best man losing it mid-toast, the look on your dad's face right before he sees you, the joke between bridesmaids that only they'll ever really get. Those moments can't be staged, so I don't try to. I just make sure I'm close enough to catch them and quiet enough that you forget I'm there.
But I don't believe every great photo happens by accident. There are moments in every wedding — the two of you alone for five minutes, a quiet hallway, a skyline at dusk — that deserve a little direction. That's where the other half of what I do comes in: portraits built with intention, dramatic light, a real sense of composition. Not stiff, not overly posed — just elevated. The kind of image you'll want to print large and frame.
After 8 years shooting over 220 weddings, I’ve learned to move between those two modes without either one feeling like an interruption. Experience allows me to quickly read a room and know when to take control of the timeline or when to step back completely and capture the moment live as it happens.
